Erythroid maturation:
Erythroid precursors have dim/negative CD45 and express CD36 and CD71.
Maturing erythroid precursors undergo sequential changes in the expression of key markers.
- CD34 rapidly declines
- CD117 and HLA-DR are lost throughout differentiation
- CD105 is progressively lost
Note the dark blue cells represent CD117+/CD34- cells; the red cells are CD34+ cells.
