Erythroid maturation:

Erythroid precursors have dim/negative CD45 and express CD36 and CD71.

Maturing erythroid precursors undergo sequential changes in the expression of key markers.

  • CD34 rapidly declines
  • CD117 and HLA-DR are lost throughout differentiation
  • CD105 is progressively lost
