Figure 16: Next we can look at the granulocyte and monocyte populations. On the x-axis is CD3/CD14 these antibodies are conjugated to ECD. The gate is limited to granulocytes and monocytes so CD3+ T-cells are excluded from this plot. The monocytes (blue) are bright for CD33 and CD14 positive. Granulocytes (yellow/red) are CD33 positive and CD14- negative.

Figure 17: Aberrant or reactive monocytes may express CD56. In this plot you can see the monocytes are negative for CD56 while NK cells (pink) are negative for CD33 and positive for CD56.
